4.2 Configuring the µAM: Functions to be activated during
installation
Information
The settings of the µAM affect the operating mode of the
MODE button for the
µAM
and for the e-drofan units. For a complete overview, see the "Summary table of
operating modes" (Par. 6.3).
4.2.1 Setting the
parameters based on the type of system
µAM
Important:
, if already connected to the RS485 data line, must only be powered up after having
µAM
completed the configuration of the master e-drofan and µC
See the par. "Basic configuration of the master e-drofan and µC
Procedure
Switch the µAM on and wait for the activation sequence to end, with the normal display (see the next par.)
Access the parameter setting procedure (see the chapter on "Parameters")
Set the parameters shown in Tables 1.f, 1.g, 1.h, 1.i, based on the type of system (see the par. "Types of
system").
4.2.2 µAM activation sequence: automatic detection of the connected devices
Whenever it is switched on, the
display shows three dashes (---) in zone (6) for a few seconds, during
µAM
which it searches for the active devices connected to the data line, according to the following logic:
IF En01=0 (µC
SE not connected)
2
Search for the master e-drofan units.
At the end of the search, the three dashes go off. The normal display comes on. If no master e-drofan is
detected, the OFC alarm will be generated, with symbol 16 on and symbol 15 off.
.
IF En01=1 (µC
SE connected)
2
Search first for the µC
SE with address 199.
2
If the µC
SE is not found, the OCh alarm is generated. The search for the µC
2
Once the µC
SE has been found, search for the master e-drofan units.
2
At the end of the search, the three dashes go off. The normal display comes on.
Even if no master e-drofan has been detected, no alarm will be signalled.
DURING OPERATION (BOTH CASES: En01=0 and En01=1)
If a device that was previously detected no longer responds, an alarm is generated that identifies the unit
(see Alarms).
In any case, every minute it checks whether other devices, not detected when starting, are connected,
and adds them to the list of active devices.
To cancel the list of devices, disconnect the µAM from the power supply.
4.2.3 Setting the µAM clock
Information
During normal display the current time is shown in field (18) on the display; if this is not visible, check
that parameter En04 (Use clock and time bands) is set to 1 (default value).
At first start-up or after an extended power failure the time may not be correct.
Procedure
1.
If the time displayed flashes, press and release CLOCK: the display shows "rtC" (real-time-Clock); otherwise,
press the CLOCK button for 5 seconds until the display shows "rtC" (ignore the transition to the "set time bands"
functions after the first 3 seconds);after 5 seconds the display will show "rtC" and the current time will flash.
Important: if the button is release before 5 seconds (symbol 17 flashing), press SLEEP to return to the
normal display, then start again.
2.
The hour digits will flash; use UP/DOWN to set the desired value (0 to 23);
3.
Press CLOCK to save; the minutes digits will flash; use UP/DOWN to set the desired value (0 to 59);
4.
Press CLOCK to save; "dAy" is displayed; the day of the week field will flash (symbols 10-11);
use UP/DOWN to set (1=Monday, 2=Tuesday, ....7=Sunday);
5.
Press CLOCK to end the procedure.
4.2.4 Enabling the Energy Saving function
Enabling this function allows the MODE button to be used to set AUTO mode and activate the Energy
Saving function.
Information
This is only available for installations with the following characteristics at the same time:
- 4-pipe system
- chiller controlled by µC
SE.
2
The behaviour can be set using parameters Ch01 (enable) and Ch03 (minimum time).
Procedure
1.
Enable the function by setting parameter Ch01 to value 1 (to access the parameters see the par.
"Configuring the µAM based on the type of system");
2.
Set the minimum deactivation / re-activation time (minutes) with parameter Ch03.
To disable the function, set parameter Ch01 to 0.
