Maintenance of the blade
Pos: 19.15 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/Wartung des Messerbalkens Text Benzin @ 19\mod_1346246117815_1521.docx @ 149465 @ 2 @ 1
A sharp blade guarantees optimum cutting performance. Before you start mowing,
always check the condition and firm attachment of the cutting blade. The blade
attachment screw must always be tightened by an authorised workshop. If the blade
screw is too tight or too loose, the blade coupling and cutter bar can become damaged
or loose which can lead to serious injuries. A worn or damaged blade must always be
replaced.

WARNING
The sharpening and balancing of the blade should be carried out only by an
authorized specialist workshop. An improperly sharpened or unbalanced blade
can cause severe vibrations, and damage the lawnmower.
Pos: 19.18 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/Nachschleifen und Auswuchten des Messerbalkens neu Text @ 12\mod_1257776115383_1521.docx @ 98647 @ 2 @ 1
The cutting edges of the cutting blade may be grinded only until the respective value
(see Figure Q ) or the marking (1) on the cutting blade (ring) has been reached.
Attention! Observe the grinding angle of 30°.
Your professional workshop can check this value - (grinding limit) for you!
Pos: 19.19 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/Nachschleifenund Auswuchten des Messerbalkens Hinweis Markierung @ 9\mod_1228810807409_1521.docx @ 70873 @ 2 @ 1
WARNING
A blade by which the wear limit (marking) has been exceeded can break off and
spin away; this can cause severe injuries.
Pos: 19.20 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/1.1 Auswechseln des Messerbalkens @ 3\mod_1157368508411_1521.docx @ 18733 @ 2 @ 1

WARNING
The cutting blade bar must always be replaced by an authorised workshop. A
wrongly assembled cutting blade coupling or a blade screw that is tightened too
tightly or too loosely can allow the cutting blade bar to become loose and cause
severe injuries.
Pos: 19.22 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/Auswechseln des Messerbalkens Text Elektro+Benzin neu @ 26\mod_1377172735519_1521.docx @ 191162 @ 2 @ 1
Only use genuine cutter bars for replacement. Non-equivalent spare parts can
damage the machine and are a safety hazard.
Replacement cutting tool must be marked permanently with the name and/or
company logo of the manufacturer or supplier and the part number.
Pos: 19.23 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/1.1 Wartung der Räder (Abbildung S) @ 0\mod_1125651856935_1521.docx @ 1819 @ 11 @ 1

Oil the bearings of the wheels once a year or every 50 operating hours.
Remove wheel covers.
Loosen the hexagon head nuts using a socket wrench and remove the wheels.
After oiling the bearings, push the wheels on and tighten them again so that they
still turn easily but without any play.

IMPORTANT
Use the charger supplied only for charging the respective mower battery.
Equally, do not try to charge your mower using a different charger. You could
endanger yourself or damage your equipment.
For safety reasons and to avoid damage to the charger, it may only be used
indoors and in dry rooms and the battery must not be charged in direct sunlight.
Pos: 19.27 /Innenteil/Pflege und Wartung des Mähers/Starterbatterie nachladen 43er COMPACT E @ 5\mod_1183373905356_1521.docx @ 35658 @ @ 1
The battery can be charged in the assembled or disassembled state.
Disconnect battery cable from cable harness.
Removing the battery
To remove the battery, loosen the screws, take off the cover and take out the
battery.
Connect the battery cable to the original charging device and plug the charging
device into a 230 V socket.
After charging the battery, refasten to the battery holder (if the battery was
dismounted for charging). Reconnect the battery cable to the cable harness prior
to mowing.

Avoid injury! Engine exhaust fumes contain carbon monoxide and can cause
serious illness or death.
Do not run an engine in an enclosed area, such as a garage, even with doors and
windows open.
Move the machine to an outside area before starting the engine.

IMPORTANT
When carrying out cleaning and maintenance work place the motor and/or mower
on its left side (in the direction of travel), but preferably tip it forwards O (spark
plug pointing upwards), as otherwise you may have difficulties starting it up
again. When tilting the mower forwards, ensure that the ejection flap is not
damaged. Secure the mower in the raised position!
Pos: 20.6 /Innenteil/Wartung des Motors/Wartung des Motors Text @ 13\mod_1280232716232_1521.docx @ 110201 @ 22 @ 1
ATTENTION
When tilting or placing the mower on its side, ensure that no oil or fuel comes out
of the machine. Fire hazard!
The regular implementation of the prescribed maintenance and care work are the
prerequisite for a permanent and fault-free functionality of the motor and also the basic
requirement for any guarantee claims.
The motor should be kept clean, particularly on the outside, and the silencer and
cylinder area must always be kept free from foreign bodies (e.g. grass residue). The
exhaust and motor reach very high temperatures when in use. Flammable foreign
bodies such as foliage, grass etc. may catch fire.
Perfect cooling can also only ensured when cylinder ribs are always clean.
IMPORTANT
Never use a pressure cleaner or ordinary water jet to clean the motor. Damages
or expensive repairs can be the consequence of such action.

Pos: 20.8 /Innenteil/Wartung des Motors/Ölwechsel Hinweis @ 6\mod_1199793171487_1521.docx @ 43497 @ 2 @ 1
NOTE
For environmental reasons, we recommend that the oil change is performed by
an authorised workshop.
Pos: 20.9 /Innenteil/Wartung des Motors/Ölwechsel Gerät kippen Text @ 0\mod_1115368599984_1521.docx @ 1875 @ 2 @ 1
The first oil change of a new engine is necessary after 5 operating hours, and thereafter
every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season.
Before the engine or whole device is tipped to drain the oil off, empty the petrol
tank and allow the engine to run until it stops due to lack of fuel.
Switch off the engine and disconnect the spark plug cable.
Change the oil with the engine still warm.
To change the oil, remove the dipstick from the filler and lay the mower on its side
so that the used oil drains into the catch tray.
Old oil should be disposed off in accordance with the relevant local
regulations and on no account be discharged into the sewerage system or
into the ground.
Turn the mower upright and pour high quality oil (for quantity and type, see
technical data) into the filler. Screw on dipstick and check oil (see Chapter Filling
with oil, illustration Y1 )!

Pos: 20.12 /Innenteil/Wartung des Motors/Reinigen bzw. Austausch des Luftfilters Text Motor SA26878, SAU11011, SA26879, SAU10191, SAU11035 @ 1\mod_1133358006115_1521.docx @ 6675 @ 21 @ 1
Loosen the screw on the air filter cover and open the cover downwards.
Carefully remove the filter insert (1) and tap out on a smooth surface or replace if
very dirty.
Never oil the insert or blow out with compressed air. Very dirty or oily filter inserts
must be replaced.
Replace in housing after cleaning or replacing of the filter element and carefully
replace cover.
In the worst conditions (large amounts of dust) it is necessary to clean the mower
whenever it has been used, otherwise every 3 months or after 25 hours of operation.
(Order no. filter insert see original spare parts and accessories)
