Work instructions
Perform care and cleaning work; do not spray plastic parts with oil or similar.
Spray the piston rods of the hydraulic cylinder with a suitable corrosion protection
agent.
Check all screw and plug-and-socket-connections for firm seating (see torque table)
Check frame and connecting pieces for condition and tight fit.
Check electrical lines for damage and replace, if necessary.
Drain air reservoir.
Antifreeze can be added to the compressed air to ensure the reliable function of valves
and seals.
Follow the operating instructions of the tractor.
Store terminal in a dry place
1. Clean the machine thoroughly at regular intervals and after the end of the sea-
son.
2. Wear the necessary protective outfit when performing any work to protect
your health and safety.
3. Clean the outside of the machine with water. Open the fall sluice under the
metering unit so that entered water can flow off.
4. Clean the volume metering unit, distributor and hoses of the pneumatic sys-
tem, leave the fall sluice open for drying.
5. Clean the rotors inside the metering unit with a brush and compressed air.
6. Blow out coulters, seed lines, seed hopper, metering unit and fan with com-
pressed air.
7. Flush the components thoroughly after using solid fertiliser. Fertiliser is very
aggressive and causes corrosion.
NOTE
Ø Do not clean hydraulic cylinders and bearings with a high-pressure cleaner or
direct water jet.
Housings, screw fittings and bearings are not waterproof under high pressure.
The following steps must be followed if the machine is to be shut down for a longer
period of time:
1. Park the machine in a hall or under a roof if possible.
2. Secure the machine with wheel chocks against rolling away.
3. Loosen the parking brake, if so equipped, to prevent the brake pads from
sticking.
