4. Remove the kettle from the base and unplug the appliance .

Attention Do not remove the kettle from the base before the kettle is switched off.
8.1 Basic rules
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the life span of the
device .
Warning! Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn the
appliance off, disconnect it from the power source and let it cool down, so as to
avoid burns and electrocution .
a) Remove dust with a dry cloth or brush .
b) You can remove stubborn dirt with a damp cloth and a neutral detergent .
Attention! Do not clean the appliance with any strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive or
disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the appliance.
Attention! Do not immerse the appliance or its base in water or other liquids.
8.2 Descaling
In order to remove scale deposited inside the kettle and on the heating element, prepare
a solution of water and vinegar (1 part vinegar per 2 parts water) . Pour the solution into
the cordless electric kettle and heat it up, but DO NOT BOIL THE SOLUTION! Leave the
solution in the cordless electric kettle for ca. 1 hour, then pour it out. Refill the kettle with
water up to the maximum level and boil the water . Pour the water out and remove deposit
residues with a damp cloth . If the water at your location leaves lots of scale, frequent
descaling is recommended . Do not perform descaling with the use of chemicals designed
for coffee makers or irons .
Attention! Descaling frequency depends on the quality and type of water used.
Descaling should be performed when you notice that more than ¼ of the heating
element surface is covered with scale.
The appliance contains no parts that could be serviced by the user . Do not attempt to
repair the appliance on your own . Always have the appliance repaired by a professional .
If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service centre
representative or a properly qualified individual.
