Place the kettle on its base and switch on the appliance as described above.
When the water comes to a boil, the appliance will turn off automatically.
Then you may remove the kettle from the base.

After the appliance has cooled down for about 15–20 seconds, you may boil
water again. While the appliance is cooling down do not push the switch, as
doing so could damage the mechanism.

8.1 Basic rules
Proper and regular cleaning will ensure safe operation and extend the useful life
of the appliance.
Warning! Before performing cleaning and maintenance operations, turn
the appliance off, disconnect it from the power source and let it cool
down, so as to avoid burns and electrocution.
a) Remove dust with a dry cloth or brush.
b) You can remove stubborn dirt with a damp cloth and a neutral detergent.
c) Never immerse the kettle and its base in water or other liquids.
Attention! Do not clean the appliance with any strong chemicals, alkali, abrasive
or disinfecting agents, as they may damage the surface of the appliance.

8.2 Descaling
In order to remove scale deposited inside the kettle and on the heating element,
prepare a solution of water and vinegar (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Pour the
solution into the electric kettle and heat it up, but DO NOT BOIL THE SOLUTION!
Leave the solution in the kettle for about 1 hour, then pour it out. Refill the kettle with
water up to the maximum level and boil the water. Pour the water out and remove any
residue with a damp cloth. If the water at your location leaves lots of scale, frequent
descaling is recommended. Do not perform descaling using chemicals designed for
coffee makers or irons.
