Embedded Apps
The "Embedded Apps" window permits you to set internet security to different
levels for different types of internet sites.
"Embedded Apps" Window
Three security levels, high, medium, and low can be selected for each of the three
zones, internet, intranet, and trusted sites. The security levels are defined as:
High: The safest way to browse, but also the least functional. Less
secure features are disabled. Appropriate for sites that may have
harmful content.
Medium: Safe browsing and still functional. Prompts before
downloading potentially unsafe content. Unsigned ActiveX controls
will not be downloaded. Appropriate for most internet sites.
Low: Minimal safeguards and warning prompts are provided. Most
content is downloaded and run without prompts. All active content can
run. Appropriate for sites you absolutely trust.
Press Default to restore the default security settings. By default, security is set to
High for internet, Medium for intranet, and Low for trusted sites.
The "Embedded Apps" window also permits you to enable the popup windows
(child windows) that open when you are in Internet Explorer (not the popup windows
of the embedded applications).
Press Close after all changes have been made. The touchpanel must be rebooted for
changes to take effect. Refer to "SHUTDOWN Details" on page 47 for more
information.
A list of trusted sites can be created and edited by pressing Add/Remove Trusted
Sites.
