  • Page 9 Applications The TPMC-15-QM and TPMC-17-QM are part of the Crestron MediaManager line of integrated presentation solutions. It is ideally suited to work with Crestron’s MediaManager wall plate media centers, FlipTop media centers, receivers and control processors to allow quick switching of multiple A/V sources in a presentation system.
  • Page 10 TPMC-17-CH in Residential Audio/Video Distribution Application MediaMarker™ Crestron’s MediaMarker software is used to create, organize and save presentations. A presenter can devise an entire lecture or demonstration and save it to a PC, compact flash, or network drive. At the presenter’s discretion, the audience may view the presentation complete with annotation in real-time (audience view feature is available on QM versions only).
  • Page 11 Connectivity The TPMC-15 and TPMC-17 feature Cresnet and high-speed Ethernet ports for seamless communication with Crestron control systems, computers, digital media servers, and other IP-based devices. Wireless networking and memory expansion are easily added through the two PCMCIA card slots. Two USB ports enable the connection of an optional mouse or keyboard as well as USB drives, CD ROM drives, memory devices or wireless network adapters.

    Routing CAT5E or CAT6 UTP cable is less expensive and much simpler than routing multi-colored, multi-conductor coax cable. All Crestron products using the QM transport system are capable of sending and receiving QM signals via standard CAT5E or CAT6 cable. Installation of any QM device is as simple as installing one set of QM wires from output to input.

    To take advantage of all the touchpanel features, it is important that the unit contains the latest firmware available. Please check the Crestron website for the latest version of firmware. Not every product has a firmware upgrade, but as Crestron improves functions, adds new features, and extends the capabilities of its products, firmware upgrades are posted.

    1. Executables/Scripts brought in on external media The implementation of the TPMC-15/17 series has restrictions on starting any application or script. The only applications that can be started are those allowed by Crestron, and these can only be started from the Crestron project. 2. Downloaded Program/Script The browser is customized in such a way that files cannot be downloaded.
