DO NOT run the microtip above an Amplitude setting of 70%. Doing so can cause damage
to the microtip assembly.

6.5 Alarms

When the system encounters an error condition, an error message is displayed on the front panel of the SLPt
Sonifier unit, and the Reset LED will flash. The following table describes the error messages, the conditions
that cause them, and the actions you should take when they are displayed.

*When you get an Overload Alarm in Experiment Mode, the process has already overloaded 3 times. You
must press RESET. This applies even if the configuration has been set to not require a reset for alarms.

Cause
Power Supply Overload
NOVRAM Failure
Remote Start Signal still
active, either when the
unit is turned on, or if it is
not released at the end of
a cycle.
Chapter 6: Operation
Take This Action
Depending on configuration*, Reset the
power supply. Refer to 6.3.2 Configuration
Menu Turn off unit and power up again. If
the message repeats, check % Peak
Power to verify it is less than 100%. If this
does not resolve the problem, check your
RF connection and the converter. If unable
to rid Er:OL at this point, call your local
Branson representative or send to Bran-
son Authorized Service Center for repair.
Turn power off and back on. If the mes-
sage repeats, call your local Branson rep-
resentative or send to Branson Authorized
Service Center for repair.
Clear the condition that caused the alarm
in order to be able to reset the power
supply.
