Switching variable Speedtronic off
There are various ways of switching varia-
ble Speedtronic off:
Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 3 ( page 164).
Speedtronic is switched off. The last
speed set remains stored.
or
Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 5 ( page 164).
Speedtronic is switched off. Cruise
control is selected. The LIM indicator
lamp 6 goes out.
Variable Speedtronic switches off auto-
matically if:
you depress the accelerator pedal be-
yond the pressure point (kickdown)
and at the same time
your current road speed differs from
the set speed by no more than about
12 mph (20 km/h)
Risk of accident
It is not possible to deactivate variable
Speedtronic by braking.
