Fine adjustment in 0.5 mph (1 km/h) in-
crements
Faster
Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 1 ( page 160).
Slower
Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 2 ( page 160).
Switching cruise control off
There are various ways of switching cruise
control off:
Apply the brakes.

Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 3 ( page 160).
Cruise control is switched off. The last
speed set remains stored.
or
Press the cruise control lever briefly in
the direction of arrow 5 ( page 160).
Cruise control is switched off. Variable
Speedtronic is selected. The LIM indi-
cator lamp 6 in the cruise control le-
ver is lit.
The cruise control is deactivated automat-
ically, when:
you pull up the parking brake lever
you are driving at less than 20 mph
(30 km/h)

works to stabilise the vehicle or

ESP
is deactivated
you set selector lever to N while driving

The last speed stored is cleared when you
switch off the engine.
