BASIC PROCEDURES

Basic embroidering procedures are described below.
Check the overall procedure below, before operating the
machine.
Step Operation
1 Install the bobbin.
2 Turn on the machine.
3 Select an embroidery pattern.
4 Edit the embroidery pattern.
5 Check the previewed image.
Hoop the fabric in the embroidery

frame.
Attach the embroidery frame to the

machine.
8 Specify the embroidering settings.
9 Check the embroidery area.
10 Thread the upper threads.
Touch the "Start/Stop" button to start
embroidering.

(Once embroidering is completed, the
machine automatically stops.)
12 Remove the embroidery frame.
13 Turn off the machine.

INSTALLING THE BOBBIN

When the machine is purchased, only the bobbin case is
installed in the hook. Insert a bobbin wound with bobbin
thread for embroidering.
CAUTION
• Be sure to use prewound bobbins (Fil-Tec/
TRU-SEW POLYESTER "Filaments") or metal
bobbins designed specifically for this machine.
• When winding a bobbin, use optional bobbin
winder (page 123) and metal bobbins.
Note
• Before starting to embroider make sure that there
is enough bobbin thread for the pattern.
• Make sure to clean the bobbin case every time the
bobbin is changed. (page 139)

Removing the bobbin case

a Open the hook cover.
Pull the hook cover toward you.
b Pull the thread picker toward you if it was not pulled
toward the front.
To gain access to the bobbin case easily, pull the thread
picker toward front.
Memo
• Thread picker is a device that is used to hold the
thread when beginning to embroider or when
trimming the thread.
