Error Code
#037
Cause
The document in the
Automatic Document
Feeder (ADF) is ready
for scanning.
The MultiPASS C20 is
receiving a fax using
ECM.
The MultiPASS C20 is
sending a fax using
ECM.
The handset is off its
hook.
The BC-22/22e or
BC-29F Cartridge is
installed, so the
MultiPASS C20 cannot
print any received faxes,
or make copies.
The MultiPASS C20 is
out of recording paper.
The MultiPASS C20's
memory is full because it
has received too many
documents, or a very
long or detailed
document.
The memory is full
because you sent too
many pages at once, or
a very long or detailed
document.
Action
Send the fax, scan the
document, or make a
copy.
Faxes can take longer to
receive when using
ECM. Try turning ECM
off if you need to receive
quickly, or if you know
your local telephone lines
are in good condition.

Place the handset
properly onto its hook.
Remove the BC-22/22e or
BC-29F Cartridge and
install the BC-21/21e or
BX-20 BJ Cartridge.
Add paper to the sheet
feeder. Make sure the
stack is below the limit
mark (D). Then press
the
(START/COPY)
button.
Print out any documents
that are stored in memory.
Then start the operation
again. See page 3-53.
Divide the document and
send each part separately.
If the memory contains
any faxes, you do not
need to delete them.
