9.2.1 Actuator Current Output does not function.

Table 9-2 explains how to troubleshoot the actuator current output failure.
Step
1 Check that the cables are plugged into
the correct headers on the NCS Output
Board.
2 Check that a load resistor is connected
to the output.
3 Check the input signal to the NCS
Output Board.
4 Check/Recalibrate.
5 Replace the NCS Output Board.

What to Do How To Do it or Where to Find the Instructions
On the NCS Output Board insure that the
following are connected: (See Figure 4-6.)
J5 – BRN, BRN, YEL;
J2 – BLU, BLU, VIO;
J3 – RED, GRN, WHT;
J1 – GRY, YEL
J4 – ORN, YEL (If Motor Positioner board
present)
After removing the GRY and YEL wires from
TB-32 and 33, measure, using an ohmmeter, the
load resistor to verify it is connected between
terminals TB-32 and 33. See Figure 3-11.
Using a DVM measure the voltage between the
pins on W11. The voltage should be in the range
of 0 Vdc to 1.25 Vdc. See Figure 4-4.
Refer to Section 4 to check calibration and to
recalibrate. First check Section 4.6 for proper
positioning and calibration of non-contact sensor.
Refer to the replacement procedure in Section 8 –
Replacement/Recommended Spare Parts.
