Setup (5)
When the adjustment of SETUP parameters has been confirmed with a long press of the
SETUP button (10), the adjustable parameter is selected via left potentiometer (control knob)
and the name of the parameter is shown on the left display. The parameter's value is set via
right potentiometer (control knob) and the value is shown on the display on the right (see
'SETUP functions').
Synergic 1-MIG or Wise welding (6, 10)
In Synergic 1-MIG welding, the optimal welding parameters for the welding wires and gas
used are recorded in the unit. The welding is controlled by adjusting the welding power and
arc length.
Wise processes are additional functions, which can be purchased separately.
Welding program selection:
EN
Before starting to weld, a welding program suitable for the welding wire and gas used must
be chosen based on this Operating Manual.
Welding program selection is activated by pressing Set Prog button longer than one second.
In this case both displays begin to flash and the material group is selected with the control
knob on the left and the welding program for the material group in question with the control
knob on the right.
First five material groups are for Synergic 1-MIG welding and last five are for Wise processes.
Refer to the selection LED indicators on the panel for synergic welding program – indicators
show the material, the wire thickness and the gas type in question.
The selected programme is immediately recorded in the memory. To get back to normal status
press ON/OFF (1) key, or Set Prog button (6).
Use of a selected welding program:
The selected welding program is immediately ready for welding. Check that the welding
program corresponds to the welding wire and shield gas in use. The selection LED indicators
on the panel show the material, the wire thickness and the gas type in use. The welding
program number can be checked by briefly pressing the Set Prog button (6), after which the
displays show the welding program number.
The selected welding program can be saved for later use using one of the memory channels.
TIP!
Refer to 'Memory functions' .
Set the desired welding power via the left-hand potentiometer (control knob) and the arc
length via the potentiometer (control knob) on the right.
Memory functions (2)
Storage of settings
The memory functions can be used to record useful welding values in the memory. There are
five different memory channels under five separate memory buttons: 1 ... 5.
In addition to welding values (wire feed speed, welding voltage), function options such as
2T/4T, Creep Start, and Crater Level are recorded in the memory as well as the used welding
program.
Short press selects the memory locations.
Long press saves the current settings to the selected memory location.
