Before carrying devices, note the following points:
– Do not carry more weight than is permitted by local laws or regulations.
– Ensue that there are enough people to carry the devices.
Before touching a device, ensure that you are wearing ESD clothing and ESD gloves (or
wrist strap), and remove any conductive objects (such as watches and jewelry).

shows conductive objects that must be removed before you touch a device.

shows how to wear an ESD wrist strap.
a.
Secure the ESD wrist strap around your wrist.
b.
Fasten the strap buckle and ensure that the ESD wrist strap is in contact with your
skin.
c.
Insert the ground terminal attached to the ESD wrist strap into the jack on the
grounded rack or chassis.

Exercise caution when using tools that could cause personal injury.
If the installation position of the device is above shoulder height, use a stacker to lift it.
This will prevent it from falling.
To prevent electric shock, do not touch high-voltage cables directly or indirectly. A high-
voltage power supply may be powering the device.
Before powering on a device, ensure that it has been properly grounded. Properly
grounded devices prevent personal injury.
Do not use a ladder alone. Have someone else hold the ladder steady to prevent
accidents.
