ANSI/ISA-71.04-2013 Environmental Conditions for Process Measurement and
Control Systems: Airborne Contaminants classifies gaseous corrosivity levels
into G1 (mild), G2 (moderate), G3 (hash), and GX (severe). Table 11-8 shows
the Gaseous Corrosivity Levels per ANSI/ISA-71.04-2013.

Make sure that the corrosion rates of the tested copper and silver samples meet the
requirements of the corrosion concentration levels specified in "Gaseous
Corrosivity Levels per ANSI/ISA-71.04-2013." To do so, see the selected types of
corrosive gases and their concentration limits provided in the table "Concentration
Limits of Corrosive Gases in Data Centers."

An environment sufficiently
well-controlled so that
corrosion is not a factor in
determining equipment
reliability.
An environment in which
the effects of corrosion are
measurable and may be a
factor in determining
equipment reliability.
An environment in which
there is high probability that
a corrosive attack will occur.
An environment in which
only specially designed and
packaged equipment would
be expected to survive.
