If you have upgraded the system firmware to V1R4 in the old ETERNITY GENX system, the
Expansion Slots license will be applicable for the universal slots. No universal slots will be
functional by default. You must purchase the SARVAM EXP4 SME license to activate the universal
slots as required.
If you have purchased the new ETERNITY GENX system with the firmware V1R4, the Expansion
Slots license will be applicable for the universal slots. The first four universal slots after the power
supply card will be functional by default. If you require more functional universal slots, you must
purchase the SARVAM EXP4 SME license.
Each SARVAM EXP4 SME license will provide the activation for next four universal slots in
sequence.

Inside the enclosure of ETERNITY GENX are slot connectors located on the motherboard on the
backplane of the enclosure. Each slot has guide rails for inserting the cards.
Illustrated below is the design of the enclosure and the position of the slots in ETERNITY GENX.
The fixed slots are occupied by specific cards — Power Supply Card and the CPU Card. These
are fixed and cannot be changed. Whereas, you can install any of the various cards in the
universal slots.
The following cards types are supported by SARVAM UMG in the universal slots:

FXO interface to connect Two-wire analog trunk lines
SLT
FXS interface to connect standard analog telephones
Mobile
Mobile interface to connect to the GSM networks
