As a customer of Elatec, one can receive a link for the TCP3 AdminPack. The compressed AdminPack for
TCP3 contains
1. Technical Manual
2. Zipped Firmware Image
3. TCP3 Config Tool
4. Sample JSON Configuration file
5. Factory Default JSON Configuration file
6. Sample sub-network search files
TCP3 is equipped with the ability to upgrade its firmware using 3 different methods:
1. Remotely using the TCP3 Config tool as covered in section. 5.11
2. Remotely from the TCP3 System web page as covered in section. 6.6.3
3. Locally via a USB flash drive as covered in this section

7.1. Local Firmware Update steps

1. Unpack the AdminPack file which contains the new firmware.zip and other files.
2. Refer to Figure 7.1 then copy the content of zipped firmware folder "<STD....zip>" onto an empty USB
flash drive. The USB drive may not have more than one partition. USB drives are typically formatted
as FAT32. We have found some larger drives do not work with FAT32 and need to be formatted as
NTFS. Start with FAT32 and if that does not work try NTFS. (Note: do not copy the folder itself, just
the contents, 2 folders and 3 files)
3. Insure power is off to TCP3, remove any device connected to the USB port and then and insert the
USB flash drive.
4. Connect the power supply to TCP3
