Bus coupler ETH-BK

ATTENTION! In order to be able to establish a connection to the controller (XM21) via the
„IndraControl First Touch" commissioning application, it is urgently necessary to disconnect
any active connection to a VPN (Virtual Private Network)!
In the delivery state, after resetting the IP parameters or after resetting to factory settings,
no valid IP address is assigned (0.0.0.0) and consequently no IP communication is possible.
To enable IP communication with the bus coupler, it is mandatory to assign a valid IPv4
address manually. This is described in detail in the following section.
An IP address can be assigned manually to the ETH bus coupler via the rotary coding
switches „S1" and „S2". Please note that the first 3 octets are fixed as address space. This
means that only the 4th octet can be configured when you manually assign the IP address.
It should be noted that a limited value range between „01" and „50" can be configured for the
4th octet. This means that IP addresses between 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.50 can be
freely selected. The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
The following figure shows the basic structure of an IPv4 address.
Principle structure of an IPv4 address
To assign the IPv4 address 192.168.0.2 to the ETH bus coupler proceed as follows:
1.
Set the rotary coding switch „S1" to 0
2.
Set the rotary coding switch „S2" to 2
3.
Boot/reboot the ETH bus coupler
Rotary coding switch S1
