Body roll centre
The body roll centre is the theoretical point around which an axis of the vehicle tilts in a curve.
The body roll centre results from the geometry of the chassis. If you draw two lines parallel to the
upper (a) and the lower (b) control arm on each side, these two lines intersect on the opposite
side. If you connect this point of intersection (c) to the wheels' connection points with the ground,
the body roll centre is at the intersection of this line and the centre line of the model (x):
When the body roll centre is low, the leverage of the centre of gravity is high and the vehicle has
a higher tendency to tilt around the roll axis in curves.
You can change the body roll centre by attaching the upper control arms of the front and the rear
axles at different steering points. This changes the angle between the upper and the lower
control arm.
• A low body roll centre increases road grip and enhances the cornering grip at the curve exit.
• A high body roll centre reduces the lateral inclination, the vehicle is more agile.
Changes must be made identically on both sides!
Changing the body roll centre also affects other vehicle settings!

9. Maintenance

At certain intervals, maintenance and function checks must be carried out that ensure trouble-free operation and roadworthiness for a long time.
Engine vibrations and shocks when driving can cause parts or screw connections to become loose.
Check before each use:
• All wheel nuts and screw connections must be tight.
• When replacing screws, secure them with screw-lock-lacquer.
• Make sure the servo control levers are installed tightly on the servo shaft.
• Make sure the fuel tubes and the air filter are in good condition and securely installed.
• The cables must be installed properly.
• Also check the state of the rechargeable batteries of the transmitter and the receiver.
Cleaning
• After driving, clean the entire vehicle of dust and dirt, use compressed air and/or a special spray cleaner.
• Pay particular attention to the bearings. Take off the wheels once in a while and clean the ball bearings of dust and dirt.
• After cleaning, the movable parts must be re-lubricated.
• After lubricating the bearings, also remove escaping oil and grease, since this is where dust can settle particularly well.
• Also clean the cooling fins of the cooling head regularly with a toothbrush in order to ensure optimal heat transmission.
Brakes
Brake linings or brake discs wear off over time. Thus, the braking effect gets weaker as the maximum brake pressure is set according to the thickness of new
linings/brake discs.
If you observe that the braking effect is getting weaker:
• Check the thickness of the brake discs.
• If necessary, correct the position of the adjustment rings on the brake control linkage.
Lubrication
All moveable parts and parts running on bearings must be lubricated with low-viscosity machine oil or spray grease after cleaning and after each use.
Driving in adverse atmospheric or ambient conditions
The components of the RC system are not water-proof!
Close the receiver box carefully. Do not only snap in the cover but also press the pin towards the front to lock it.
