Control arm
Full-floating axle transverse to the direction of motion, connects the wheel suspension (spindle, axle leg and steering knuckle pin) with the chassis.
Stabiliser bar
U-shaped curved spring steel wire which is connected at both ends with a lower control arm each via ball-shaped heads. In the centre, the wire bracket is
fastened rotatable on the differential housing. The deflection of a wheel results in the deflection of the other wheel via the bracket. This reduces the roll angle of
the vehicle in curves. The stabiliser bar supports the effect of the oil pressure shock absorbers especially when the wheel rebounds. The restoring force of the
wire bracket supports the rebounce of the shock absorber (against the friction in the piston). This ensures steady road contact of the wheel.
RC model
"Radio controlled" or more precisely: "Remote controlled" model vehicle.
Resonance exhaust silencer
The resonance exhaust silencer provides sound insulation and supports optimal performance of the engine.
Rotor starter
Electrically operated starter device for model combustion engines. The shaft of the rotor starter engages an adapter at the crankcase to turn the crankshaft via
an actuator until the engine starts.
Slide carburettor
Air supply to the engine is regulated by moving the carburettor slide. At the same time the tapered needle of a needle valve (idle jet needle) is moved, which
changes the amount of fuel flowing through the carburettor.
Servo
Servo motor the shaft of which moves in a limited angle in both directions and mechanically carries out a control function via a lever.
Servo lever (servo arm)
Lever, disc or cross with 4 control levers which transmit the rotational movement of the servo motor via linkage levers.
Servo reverse
You can reverse the rotational direction on the remote control.
Servo saver
Cushioned additional link between steering servo and steering link. Sudden, hard blows to the steered wheels are cushioned via this link and are not directed
straight into the servo.
Steering link
Generally consists of three flexible interconnected levers. The outer steering links can be adjusted in length and connect the steering knuckle arm at the axle leg
pivotal with the middle steering link section which is tilted right/left by the steering servo lever.
Track
Position of the wheel level to the driving direction:
a = toe-in, wheels point inwards
b = toe-out, wheels point outwards
Steering knuckle arm
Lever on the axle leg (steering lever). Moving the steering link via this lever towards the right or left causes the wheels to turn.
Bumper
The bumper (fender) made of impact-resistant plastic is elevated and is additionally supported by the front control arm mount.
Camber
a
b
Inclination of the wheels to the perpendicular:
a = positive camber
b = negative camber
Fuel tank
The fuel tank with quick release fastener has an integrated fuel filter. The tank is connected to the resonance exhaust silencer via a tube at the connector nipple
in the cap. During operation, the exhaust fumes generate overpressure in the tank. This overpressure enhances fuel supply to the carburettor.
Trim lever
to fine-tune neutral position of the servo. The trimming is superimposed on the deflections of the remote control lever. Thus neutral position of the servo can be
moved to one direction or the other.
Toe-in block
Rear support of the bottom control arm axles. Depending on the hole spacing, the control arm axles are arranged at an angle (toe-in) or parallel to the centre line
of the vehicle.
