THREADING THE TOP
THREAD
A. Raise the presser foot lifter. Always be sure to
raise the presser foot lifter before threading
the top thread. (If the presser foot lifter is
not raised, correct thread tension cannot be
obtained.)
B. Turn the hand wheel toward you until the
needle is in its highest position.
C. Thread the machine as illustrated.
* Pass the thread through the thread take-up (3)
from right to left.
* Pass the thread through the eye of the needle
(5) from front to back.
IMPORTANT:
To verify that the machine is threaded
properly in the tension discs, do this simple
check:
1.) With the presser foot raised and the needle
threaded, pull the thread. You should detect
only a slight resistance and little or no
defle tion of the needle.
2.) Now lower the presser foot and again
pull the thread towards the back of the
machine. This time you should detect a
considerable amount of resistance and much
more defle tion of the needle. If you do not
detect the resistance, this means you have
not threaded the machine correctly and need
to rethread it.

INFILARE IL FILO SUPERIORE
A. Alzare il piedino premistoffa.
Quando si procede all'infilatura superiore,
assicurarsi che il piedino sia in posizione elevata
altrimenti i dischi della tensione non riescono
ad aprirsi correttamente.
B. Ruotare il volantino verso sè per portare l'ago
in posizione alta.
C. Procedere all'infilatura della macchina come
mostrato in figura.
* Passare il filo attraverso il guida filo (3) da destra
verso sinistra.
* Passare il filo nella cruna dell'ago (5) da davanti a
dietro.
IMPORTANTE:
Per verificare la corretta infilatura del filo
nei dischi della tensione, procedere alla
seguente verifica:
1.) Con la leva alzapiedino sollevata e l'ago non
infilato, afferrare il filo tra indice e pollice
e tirarlo leggermente. Si dovrà riscontrare
una leggera resistenza del filo a dimostrazione che
il filo è entrato all'interno dei dischi tensione.
