10 Malfunctions

10.1

Warning Messages

Warning
Fault
message
Disp.Err.
The value to be output
cannot be shown in
the operating display.
High
The device is
overloaded.
Low
The modulation of the
weighing module's
weighing converter
is too low.
Com.Err.
The device is not
receiving any weight
values.

10.2 Troubleshooting

Fault
The operating display is blank.
The displayed weight value
changes constantly.
The weight readout displayed by
the device is obviously wrong.
Cause
The data to be displayed is
not compatible with the set
display format.
The device's maximum
weighing capacity has been
exceeded.
No weighing pan has been
placed on the balance.
A previously forgotten
weight was removed after
starting the device.
No communication exists
between the display and
control unit and the
weighing module.
Cause
The device is disconnected.
The AC adapter is not connected.
The installation site is unstable.
A foreign object is positioned
between the weighing pan and
the housing.
The device was not calibrated.
The device was not tared
before weighing.
Malfunctions
Remedy
Adjust the display settings
in the menu, e.g. resolution,
unit, decimal places.
Reduce the applied weight
to below the device's
maximum weighing
capacity.
Insert the weighing pan
into the device and switch
the device off and on again.
Wait until the display and
control unit restores the
communication with the
weighing module.
If the problem occurs again:
Contact Sartorius Service.
Remedy
Check the connection
to the power supply.
Connect the power supply
cable to the power supply.
Adjust the parameters
in the "Ambient conditions"
submenu.
Change the installation site.
Remove the foreign object.
Calibrate the device.
Tare the device.
