Weighing with zero calibration
Preparing for weighing
Remove all objects that are simultaneously in
contact with both the bed and the fixed
environment or frame of Babytherm.
Prepare the patient for lifting.
Switch on the display unit of the scale
Plug the power plug into a power supply socket.
1 Press the
Start/Standby button.
The display unit runs through a self-test and briefly
displays the message Scale.
– 1 beep is emitted. Weighing begins.
Starting the weighing process
2 Press the
Weigh button.
– 1 beep is emitted. Weighing begins.
When the Lift Patient
Lift the patient off the bed. Take care not to
touch the bed and frame of the Babytherm.
– 2 beeps are emitted. 0.00 is displayed on the
screen.
When the Lower Patient
Lay the patient on the bed.
The weighing operation is performed.

– A line of dots is displayed on the screen.
– 3 beeps are emitted.
Weighing is complete.
– The weighing result is displayed on the screen.
The weighing result remains on the display for a
few minutes. If you need to check the weight, a
weighing procedure without zero calibration can be
performed within the next 3 minutes.
Weighing without zero calibration
If the last zero calibration was performed no longer
than 3 minutes earlier and no object has been
removed from the bed or placed on it during this
time, repeated calibration is not necessary.
1 Press the
Reweigh button.
– The patient must be lying on the bed.
The weighing operation is performed.
– A line of dots is displayed on the screen.
– 3 beeps are emitted.
Weighing is complete.
– The weighing result is displayed on the screen.
After a few minutes, the scale display unit changes
to Standby mode.
– A continuous sequence of dashes is displayed
on the screen.
