Avaya Connect Expansion Module usage
Connection option
Connect to a device using
its IP address.
Connect to a device that
is already paired with
your device.
If the Avaya Vantage
applications, it does not accept connection requests from other Expansion Module applications.

Enabling the Expansion Module service on Avaya Vantage

About this task
To connect an Avaya Connect Expansion Module application with Avaya Vantage
experience, you must enable the Expansion Module service on the Avaya Vantage
experience.
You do not need to enable this service if Expansion Module automatically pairs and connects with
the Avaya Vantage
enabled. You cannot disable the service through the User Settings menu on the built-in UC
experience.
If the Expansion Module application and Avaya Vantage
different Avaya Vantage
built-in UC experience. Expansion Module applications installed on other Avaya Vantage
then find and send the connection request to the Avaya Vantage
built-in UC experience.
Before you begin
Ensure that your administrator enabled the use of the Expansion Module service with Avaya
Vantage
built-in UC experience.

Description
When the Expansion Module
application is on a different device,
you can send a connection request to
another Avaya Vantage
using the device IP address. This
option is useful when you want to
connect to a device on a different
subnet.
Use this option when you want to
select from a list of already paired
devices to establish a quick
connection.
After you establish a connection
between the Expansion Module
application and the Avaya Vantage
built-in UC experience for the first
time, they are paired automatically.
The applications remain paired until
you remove the pairing.
built-in UC experience is already connected with three Expansion Module
built-in UC experience running on the same device. The service remains
devices in the same subnet, you can enable Network Discovery on the
