1-1 Function List

SPF series basic unit has a built-in high-speed counter. The table below lists the main functions.

*1 SPF basic unit has a built-in hardware high-speed counter for eight channels. To use the high-speed counter, set the
channels to be used (CH0 t CH7) and counter mode (pulse input format and input to be used) on the "High-speed counter
setting" screen in the system definition. Since the input to be used differs depending on the basic unit type, the number of
usable channels is determined by the basic unit type and system definition setting.
*2 The counting speed of the high-speed counter is determined by the response speed of the input address to be used. The
input response speed of SPF basic unit differs depending on the basic unit type and input to be used.

Note: When used in "90-degree phase-differential two-phase signal" mode, the counting speed
becomes half.

Count can be stopped from external input or an application.
