Replacing the APCI Needle

ISQ EC and ISQ EM Mass Spectrometer Operating Manual
Follow the steps below to replace the APCI needle.
1) Follow the instructions for removing the APCI probe in Section 7.4.5.
2) Ensure the APCI needle is down so that it can be accessed. See Figure
105.

3) With gloved hands, pull the APCI needle out of the source housing and
install a new needle. See Figure 106.

