7-7. Step operation

Step operation allows automatic positioning as designated by point.

(1) Each step operation must be set in step parameter in advance. See "7-7-1 Example of operation setting" for
the setting procedure of step parameter in concrete. If movement to unregistered step is attempted,
undefined data error protection (error code No.69) occurs, and the servo amplifier trips.
(2) Specify the point number of destination by point designation input ( X5
and 8).
(3) Before step operation, make sure that homing is completed. If homing is not completed, present position
outputs ( X5
P1OUT - P32OUT: Pin 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34) are all off. In this case, step instruction is
not executed even if input.
(4) Change the strobe signal input ( X5
condition (closed). Then step operation is started according to point designation input (P1N - P32IN).
(5) Check that the transistor of operation active signal output ( X5 BUSY: Pin 28) has turned off, and then set
STB to opened condition again.
(6) When operation is completed, BUSY transistor returns to ON. It allows point output (P1 OUT-P32 OUT) to
be updated. Read point output when more than 10ms has passed after BUSY transistor has turned ON.
(7) When DCLON is chosen for output signal in servo parameter 64 (output signal selected), the transistor of
positioning completion output/DCLON output ( X5 COIN/DCLON: Pin 27) turns on as long as the motor
is decelerating.
(8) When positioning completion output (COIN) is chosen for output signal in servo parameter No.64 (output
signal selected), if the position deviation is within positioning completion range after completion of
operation instruction, transistor of positioning completion output/DCLON output ( X5
Pin 27) turns on.
