Fine Span Adjustment - Cardinal 825 Installation And Technical Manual

If after performing linearization testing, an error in the overall weight (span setting of the scale)
or an error in a specific range of weight is found, adjustments can be made using the
procedures described below.
1. Press the ON/OFF key to turn on the 825. The display will perform a short self-test and
then change to the Startup screen showing the software versions and diagnostics of the
option cards.
2. Press the Navigation Keys  Down Arrow to "advance" to (highlight) the Legal
metrology information / Setup option and then press the ENTER key or press the
3 key to select the Legal metrology information / Setup option. The display will
change to show the Legal metrology information / Setup screen.
NOTE: If the Login and Password protection feature has been enable, the
Login screen will be displayed instead of the Legal metrology
information / Setup screen. Enter the login and then press the  Down
Arrow to advance to the password prompt. Enter the password and then press
the ENTER key to proceed to the Setup Menu.
3. With the Setup Menu displayed, press the 3 key or use the Navigation Keys to select
(highlight) 3. Calibration and then press the ENTER key. The display will change to
show the Setup Scale Number screen.
4. With the Setup Scale Number screen displayed, verify the correct scale number is shown
and then press the ENTER key. Otherwise, use the numeric keys to enter the scale
number and then press the ENTER key.
5. The display will change to show the Scale 1 – Calibration Options screen.
6. From the Scale 1 – Calibration Options screen, press the 3 key or use the Navigation Keys
to select (highlight) 3. Fine Span and then press the ENTER key.
7. With the Scale 1 – Fine Span screen displayed, place a calibrated test weight on the
scale.
Use the Navigation Keys to select (highlight) the Fine Span adjustment option and then
press the ENTER key to perform the function or;
Press the U key (U. Up) to increase displayed weight.
Press the D key (D. Down) to decrease the displayed weight,
Press the Z key (Z. Zero) to zero the scale.
Press the Q key (Q. Quit) to save the current settings and Quit.
The display will return to the Scale 1 – Calibration Options screen.
