Defining the local access protection (PIN)

Requirements
• Access protection to 3RW5 HMI High Feature is not active or has been reset
• You are in menu "Security > Local Access Protection".
"Define PIN" procedure
1. Choose menu "Define PIN".
In the factory setting, no PIN is active.
2. Using the navigation keys, define a 4-digit PIN and confirm your entry with "OK".
After confirmation of the entry, the PIN returns the 3RW5 HMI High Feature to the "Local
access protection" menu.
The PIN is now active.
"Change PIN"
1. Select the "Change PIN" menu.
2. Log in using the current 4-digit PIN and confirm your entry with "OK".
If the entry is correct, the display of the 3RW5 HMI High Feature will show the user
information "Log in was successful". Confirm with "OK".
3. Using the navigation keys, define a 4-digit PIN and confirm your entry with "OK".
The display of the 3RW5 HMI High Feature shows the user information "Log out was
successful". Confirm with "OK".
After confirmation, the 3RW5 HMI High Feature returns to the "Local access protection" menu.
The changed PIN is now active.
"Delete PIN" procedure
1. Select the "Delete PIN" menu.
2. Log in using the current 4-digit PIN and confirm your entry with "OK".
If the entry is correct, the display of the 3RW5 HMI High Feature will show the user
information "Log in was successful". Confirm with "OK".
After confirmation, the 3RW5 HMI High Feature returns to the "Local access protection" menu.
The current PIN has been deactivated and deleted. Define a new PIN.
