Follow the safety instructions in chapter 3.

4.3.1 Watertightness test in accordance with EN 13564

Only for backwater valve type 2 (two backwater flaps).
• Close the emergency closure <3> (see 4.5)
• Screw the screwed sealing plug out <1>
and the funnel <2> in
• Fill water up to the testing pressure level of 10 cm in
the funnel (accessory: art. no. 70214)
• Observe the filling level in the funnel for 10 minutes,
keep to the original level by refilling if necessary
• The backwater valve is considered watertight
if no more than 0.5 litres of water has to be refilled
during this time. Subsequently: open
the emergency closure <3>, remove the funnel <2>
and screw the screwed sealing plug <1> back in
again. The backwater valve housing must not show
signs of leaks
• Open the emergency closure <3> again
4.4

Declare ready for operation

The system is ready for operation if:
– all the points described under 4.3.1 work perfectly.
– the emergency closure is opened, see 4.3.1
– the one-handed closure of the lockable cover is closed, see Ill. [4]
