Installation

Risk caused by toxic and hazardous vapours, gases and substances (e. g. bacteria, viruses). Always have any
necessary work on the backwater lifting station done by specialist staff (se2.2.2).
3.1

General points related to installation

The backwater lifting station is installed and put into operation at different times according to the usual
construction phases on a building site.
1. Installation of the system tank (base element of the chamber system) in the inspection chamber.
Connection of wastewater inlet and outlet, as well as connection of the pressure pipe via which the
wastewater is pumped off.
Installation of the chamber system, starting from the system tank. Not described in this manual.
The installation of a settling section is unnecessary.
2. Installation of the separately delivered assemblies, starting w3.4 chapter 3.2.
3. Installation of the control unit and connection of the electrical compon3.9s (chapter 3.7).
4. Initial operation (chapter 33.11.
Make sure that the work listed under 1. has been fully completed.
3.2

Fix Container

The Ecolift XL base is equipped with anchoring brackets
so that the base can be firmly secured with the floor.
Each bracket is to be connected to the side of the Ecolift XL
base with 4 Spax screws (4 x 35 m).
The base of each bracket should then be connected
to the floor in an appropriate manner.
To minimize noise transmission KESSEL use sound-absorbing
base mat
3.3

Pressure Pipe Connection

Connect to PE DN 80 (OD = 90 mm) SDR 17 pressure pipe.
KESSEL recommends connection with standard PE-HD electrical welding couplings.
