5. Allow the coupler to completely dry before reassembling it to a scope or
camera head. Otherwise, the lens will fog during use.
Steris System
1. Holding the coupler so the camera end points toward you, turn the
focusing ring clockwise until it stops. (For autoclavable couplers only)
2. Open the rubber eyepiece cover (For rotating beamsplitter couplers
only).
3. Clean and prepare the coupler as recommended in the Cleaning and
Disinfection sections.
4. Sterilize the coupler using Steris

1. Holding the coupler so the camera end points toward you, turn the

4. Sterilize the coupler using the Sterrad™ Sterilization System.

Autoclave System
Caution
Do not autoclave any Stryker focusing coupler that is not
marked "Autoclavable. "
Caution
For best product performance, do not rinse or immerse the
coupler in water or saline solution immediately after
autoclaving. Allow the instrument to cool at room
temperature for at least 20 minutes.
1. Holding the coupler so the camera end points toward you, turn the
focusing ring clockwise until it stops.
2. Clean and prepare the coupler as recommended in the Cleaning and
Disinfection sections.
3. Sterilize the coupler using the following parameters:

Pre-Vacuum Cycle
132-137×C (270-280×F)
4 minutes minimum exposure time
8 minutes minimum dry time
B.
"FLASH" Parameters
Gravity Cycle
132-137×C (270-280×F)
10 minutes minimum total cycle time
C.
"French 30" Cycle
134-137×C (270-280×F)
18 minutes minimum exposure time
5 minutes minimum dry time
Note
When possible, wrap the coupler to reduce residue buildup
on the coupler windows. This will make the glass easier to
clean.
4. Clean the coupler windows with alcohol to ensure proper visibility.
