7.3 Changing filters

The service life of the filter elements is based on the nature and quantity of the
secluded dusts. We recommend KEMPER Service for a filter cartridge change.
Note
As dust loading of the filter element increases, flow resistance and
suction power decrease over time. As soon as it falls below a minimum
value, you will hear the signal horn. A change of the filter element is
now required.
The filter change is a potential source of error, e.g. due to improper
mounting, damage of the filter material etc.
We recommend having the filter change carried out by KEMPER
Service. This ensures an expert and proper exchange of the filter.
Clarify the disposal of filters contaminated with welding smoke in filter
in advance with your regional disposal specialist.
WARNING
Cleaning the filter cartridges is not permitted. This leads
inevitably to damage to the filter medium, which means the filter
no longer functions and dangerous substances find their way into
the surrounding, breathable air.
Use only original replacement filters, because only they guarantee
the necessary separation rate and are matched to the filter
equipment and its performance characteristics.
The filter cartridge change must be done with the utmost care so
that none of the dusts adhering to the device stirs up and no
persons assigned with the task are harmed. The working area
should be a well-ventilated room with filtered air and should be
separated / marked. Any dust stirred up needs to be immediately
removed with a vacuum cleaner of dust class H!
Skin contact with cutting smoke can cause skin irritations to
susceptible people. Serious injury to the lungs and the respiratory
tract is possible!
To avoid contact and the inhalation of dusts, use protective
clothing, gloves and a fan-breathing protection system e.g.
KEMPER autoflowXP or a Class FFP2 breathing filter mask
according to EN 149.
