7.1 Care of the Device

The maintenance of the Filter-Master XL is basically restricted to the cleaning of all
surfaces of dust and debris as well as the control of the filter inserts.
WARNING
Skin contact with cutting fumes, etc. can cause skin irritation in
sensitive individuals!
Serious injury to the lungs and the respiratory tract is possible!
To avoid contact and the inhalation of dusts, use protective
clothing, gloves and a fan-breathing protection system e.g.
KEMPER autoflowXP or a Class FFP2 breathing filter mask
according to EN 149.
The release of dangerous dusts must be avoided during cleaning
So that persons not assigned with the task are not harmed.
NOTE
Do not clean the Filter-Master XL with compressed air! This may
cause dust and/or dirt particles to get into the ambient air.
Adequate care helps to keep the Filter-Master XL in a permanent functioning
condition.
Clean the Filter-Master XL thoroughly once a month.
When cleaning the suction arm, also eliminate any accumulated dust or other
deposits on the protective grating (sold separately) or in the interior of the exhaust
hood.
The outer surfaces of the Filter-Master XL can be cleaned with a suitable Dust
Class H industrial vacuum cleaner or can alternatively be wiped with a damp
cloth.
Check the hose on the extraction arm for damage e.g. burns holes from sparks or
chafing.
Note
Major defects and leaks lead to a reduction of the extraction
efficiency of the suction hood. Replace the hose with a new one in
time.
