2.2 Design
The locking mechanism consists of a centred lock lever and a toothed lock
plate. A toothed bolt is installed in the lower joint section. The orthotic joint
angle can be adjusted in 8° increments by repositioning the lock plate on the
upper joint section.

3 Intended use

3.1 Indications for use
The orthotic joint is intended exclusively for use as a pair for orthotic fittings
of the lower limbs on one patient.
INFORMATION
Increased wear and tear
The orthotic knee joints are intended only for use in combination with free-
motion or foot lifting orthotic ankle joints. Wear occurs more rapidly in
combinations involving orthotic ankle joints with a dorsal stop.
INFORMATION
With flexion adjustment > 16°, the knee joint is to be used only for position­
ing orthoses.
3.2 Area of application
Approved for a body weight of up to 100 kg.
