If the ingredients do not rotate/blend in the jug, press down with the pusher
supplied through the hole in the lid to feed the ingredients in.
Please note! With long blending times and/or blending fresh or thawed berries
or similar, smoke may appear when you remove the lid. This is due to the motor
running at high speed. Try blending for shorter times or use frozen ingredients.
After the programme has finished or the time has counted down, a beep
sounds and blending ends. The display returns to showing speed "5" and
time "0:00". Then press the power switch on the motor unit and unplug the
appliance if it is not to be used further.
The appliance must rest for 5 minutes if the unit has been run for the
maximum time (e.g. the SOUP programme). After this new cycle can begin.
After a maximum of two cycles, the appliance must rest and cool to room
temperature (this takes about 2 minutes).
Helpful tips
• Use a plastic/silicone spatula to scrape ingredients down inside the jug.
Never use metal utensils as they may damage the jug and/or the blades.
• After about 5 minutes of continuous use, the jug becomes very hot, so take
extra care when handling.
• Once the blender has been in operation for 7 minutes, it switches off
automatically unless it is in "SOUP" mode, which blends for 7 minutes.
Never blend liquids for longer than a total of 7 minutes.
• Use pulse mode for crushing hard ingredients.
• Make sure that the blender jug is completely dry before blending fresh
herbs, garlic, onions, zest, breadcrumbs, nuts and dry spices.
• Do not store ingredients or liquids in the blender jug.
• Never mix carbonated drinks in the blender as excess pressure can form.
Overheating
The appliance is equipped with a thermostat that is activated if the motor
becomes overloaded and ensures that the appliance has a long service life.
If the thermostat is activated, turn off the appliance and unplug it. Wait 30
minutes before restarting the appliance. Clean the parts as instructed in

"Cleaning and maintenance".

Cleaning and maintenance
Always unplug before cleaning. Never immerse the base unit in water or other
liquids.
Lift the jug from the motor unit and remove the lid. The jug must be cleaned
after each use or if it has not been used for a long time. The appliance has
a useful automatic cleaning function. Fill the jug halfway with water and add
a little washing-up liquid. Select the "CLEANING" programme and press the
Start/Stop button on the panel to start. Rinse the jug with water after the
cleaning process is finished. Wash the lid in hot water with a little washing-up
liquid, then rinse thoroughly.
