In order to determine minimal shaft length:
set aggregated rake in working position, / (by means of 3-point linkage, adjust connector end of
machine's PTO P on the most approximate height, on which tractor's PTO is mounted)
take measurement of distance between two shafts as provided on Fig. 15 and Fig. 16,
next additionally distract 11.8"from the resulting measurement in order to keep tolerance and
shorten the shaft for this particular length (Fig. 17). Information on proper shortening of shafts
is provided in item 5.5 herein, on decal N-149 placed on the machine and also found in shaft's
manual provided by its manufacturer.
As a result of following the abovementioned instructions, minimal length of PTO shaft is
obtained, and then it can be used safely to mount the machine on the tractor.
CAUTION:
If need be, shorten the PTO haft according to its operator's manual given by the
shaft's manufacturer (Fig. 18).
