Selecting the Measurement Method (MEASURE - MODE) (cont.)
Diff - Display of differential values. DIFF shows the difference from a NOMINAL value (located just below that function) as an absolute
•
value or as a percentage related to NOMINAL. Positive means "More than" Negative means "Less than" NOMINAL absolute or
relative in percentage. For example, for a NOMINAL thickness of 5.00mm for a tube wall, then a 4.50mm is indicated as -0.50mm, and
10% delta value. The delta symbol means Difference.
Note: Use the F3 and F4 keys to enter the NOMINAL option, and to enter values in increments of 10. Use the joystick to enter values in
increments of 1.
Thickness - The thickness currently being measured (if the probe is coupled) or the last valid thickness value measured. The displayed

numerals will appear "solid" whenever the probe is coupled and "hollow", or as a series of dashes (- - -), when uncoupled. The Last
Reading function sets the appearance when uncoupled.
