Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.

The patient sits on the front edge of a chair and the knee is extended.
>
All straps on the orthosis are opened.
1) Pass the orthosis around the knee from behind and apply it to the leg. Centre the patella
cutout over the patella.
2) Optional: For legs with a larger circumference, the side parts with straps and strap guide
loops can be positioned on the orthosis shaft.
3) Pass the straps through the strap guide loops. Close the straps first below and then above
the knee. Make sure that the hook-and-loop sections are placed over one another (see fig. 2).
4) Optional: Attach the narrow strap to the orthosis so it is centred and passes over the patella,
for example to secure an additional cooling element (see fig. 3).
→ The orthosis fits firmly but is still comfortable to wear (see fig. 4).
► Check that the orthosis is fitted properly on the leg before handing over to the patient.
5.4 Removal
1) Open all straps one after the other.
2) Remove the orthosis from the leg.
6 Cleaning

Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the orthosis regularly:
Pads
1) Remove the splint from the pocket of the orthosis.
2) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
3) Hand wash the orthosis in warm water at 30 °C with standard mild detergent. Do not use fab­
ric softener. Rinse thoroughly.
4) Allow to air dry. Avoid exposure to direct heat (e.g. sunlight, oven or radiator).
5) Reinsert the splint in the pocket of the orthosis.
7 Disposal
Dispose of the product in accordance with national regulations.
