Mounting/Dismounting Terminal Block Signal Conversion Adapter

This section describes the procedure to mount and dismount the terminal block signal
conversion adapter of the T series migration system to and from base unit BUM7B. For
mounting and dismounting modules such as G2 I/O or G3 I/O with terminal blocks and
connectors, refer to "Unified controller nv series type1 light Controller Unit User's Manual -
Basic Hardware -" (6F8C1497) or "T3/T3H User's Manual - Hardware - " (UM-TS03***-J002).
■ Procedure to mount the terminal block signal conversion adapter
Be sure to turn off the power to the T series migration system before mounting the terminal
block signal conversion adapter.
(1) Mount the G2 I/O module to BUM7B.
Refer to 3.7 Mounting/Dismounting Modules for mounting G2 I/O to base unit BUM7B.
(2) Connect the attached terminal conversion cable to the terminal block signal conversion
adapter.
Connect the cable and adapter properly by aligning the cable connector on the terminal
block signal conversion adapter and the adapter side connector of the attached terminal
conversion cable before connection.
• Connector type terminal conversion cable:
Insert the connector of the terminal conversion cable completely into the terminal block
signal conversion adapter, and tighten the screws at both sides of the connector. Check
there is no rattling or loose part in the connector.
• Terminal block type terminal conversion cable:
Insert the connector of the terminal conversion cable into the terminal block signal
conversion adapter until a clicking sound is heard. Check there is no rattling or loose part
in the connector.
There is a correct combination of the terminal block signal conversion adapter and
terminal conversion cable. An incorrect combination may cause abnormal operation,
system failure, breakage, fuming or ignition. Be sure to connect the attached terminal
conversion cable to the terminal block signal conversion adapter.
For details of cable and adapter combination, refer to Appendix B Terminal Block Signal
Conversion Adapter.
(3) Connect the attached terminal conversion cable to G2 I/O.
Connect the G2 I//O side connector of the attached terminal conversion cable to G2 I/O.
There is a correct combination of G2 I/O and terminal conversion cable. An incorrect
combination may cause abnormal operation, system failure, breakage, fuming or ignition.
Be sure to connect the attached terminal conversion cable to G2 I/O.

Conversion Adapter.
