TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

PROBLEM
1)
NO DISPLAY WITH POWER ON.
2)
A DIGIT CANNOT BE ENTERED VIA
KEYBOARD.
3)
CONSOLE DISPLAYS FLASHING
"CAL" WHENEVER VEHICLE ENGINE
IS STARTED.
4)
CONSOLE DISPLAYS FLASHING
"CAL" WHENEVER MASTER
SWITCH IS TURNED ON OR OFF.
5)
CONSOLE DISPLAYS FLASHING
"CAL" WHENEVER SPEED IS
CHANGED.
6)
"TIME" FUNCTION IS INACCURATE
OR DRIFTING.

ONE DISPLAY DIGIT HAS ONE OR
MORE MISSING SEGMENTS.

SPEED DISPLAY "0".

SPEED INACCURATE OR

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1)
Check fuses in console cabling.
2)
Check battery connections.
3)
Hold key 2 to darken LCD contrast.
4)
Return Console to your Dealer for service.

Return Console to your Dealer to
replace keypad.

Check battery voltage and battery
connections.

Verify Console is connected to 12V
continuous power.

Check Speed Sensor cable connector
and plug on back of Console for loose
pins.

Clean pins and sockets on Speed
Sensor cable connectors.

If no extension cable is used,
replace Speed Sensor Switch Assembly.

If Speed Sensor Extension Cable is
used, see Appendix 3.

Run speed check on hard surface
road. If SPEED is accurate,
investigate Speed Sensor on
different wheel.
2)
Remove one red magnet and one black
magnet from the wheel. (Reposition
remaining red and black magnets directly
across from each other). Enter a SPEED
CAL number in the Console twice as large as
the correct SPEED CAL number. Run
