Pump Down Procedure (Common to Cooling and Heating)

7. Con gure the forced close setting of the bypass valve.

Perform the procedure below to con gure the bypass valve forced close setting approximately 5 minutes after
performing the test run on the outdoor unit.
(1) Follow the procedure of 5-(1) to (2) to select

Caution: This setting results in not just the bypass valve but also the liquid valve, outdoor fan, and the like performing
the operation required for the pump-down. Be sure to con gure this setting because a pump-down may not
be possible if this setting is omitted.
If it is performed during a test run, the engine will stop automatically after up to 15 minutes have elapsed
(to protect the equipment). Therefore, make sure the subsequent procedure is performed quickly after
con guring the setting.
