6. Turn on the autotransformer, the indicator oscilloscope
and the other instruments (not the tunnel diode pulse gen-
erator).
7. Set the autotransformer output to the normal line volt-
age of the indicator oscilloscope (e.g. 117 volts).

8. Allow at least 20 minutes for the Type 1S1 to warm
up before making any calibration checks or adjustments.
9. Connect the 1X test probe to the vertical input con-
nector of the test oscilloscope.
10. After 20 minutes warm up, check the dc balance of
the test oscilloscope.
