4-15.1 Folding Models
The gauge wheels provide implement stability
for the larger models.
With the implement fully lowered, position the
wheels to just touch the ground:
a. Use gauge wheel adjustment lever (both
sides), to raise wheels same distance above
ground level as desired chisel working depth
(See Figure 3-27).
Note: Be sure main frame, wing and cutter
frames are level.
b. Operate implement and watch gauge wheel
action. Wheels may continuously contact
ground at times and free-wheel at other
times.
c. When not in use, attach lever to gauge
wheel bracket and pin in place (See Figure
4-24).
