Set [Focus increment].
Specify how much to shift the focus.
z
This amount is automatically adjusted
to suit the aperture value at the time of
shooting.
Because larger aperture values increase
the focus shift, focus bracketing covers
a wider range under the same [Focus
increment] and [Number of shots]
settings in that case.
After completing the settings, press the
z
< M > button.
To save your shots in a new folder, tap
z
[
] and select [OK].

Set [Exposure smoothing].
You can suppress changes in image
z
brightness during focus bracketing
by setting [Exposure smoothing]
to [Enable], which compensates for
changes in the actual aperture value
(effective f/number) at each focus
position.

Take the picture.
Focus at the nearer end of your
z
preferred focal range, then press the
shutter button completely.
Once shooting begins, release the
z
shutter button.
The camera shoots continuously, shifting
z
the focal position toward infinity.
Shooting ends after your specified
z
number of images, or at the far end of
the focal range.
