Setting the White Balance
*
White balance (WB) is for making the white areas look white. Normally, the
Auto
[BJ
(Ambience priority) or
[IIIDw]
(White priority) setting will obtain
the correct white balance. If natural-looking colors cannot be obtained with
Auto, you can select the white balance to match the light source or set it
manually by shooting a white object.
In Basic Zone modes,
[IIID]
(Ambience priority) is set automatically. (In
<f~>
mode,
[
B
w]
(White priority) is set.)
Press the
<
M-Fn
>
button (
~6 ).
With an image displayed
on
the
screen,
press the
<M-Fn>
button.

Select the white balance item.
Turn the <

dial to select the white
balance setting item.

Select a white balance setting.
