CUTTING DEVICE - ADVANCING THE TRIMMER LINE
In order to advance the trimmer line, firmly tap the bump cap on the trimmer head while the trimmer
is running. This will automatically advance a new length of trimmer line and trim the line to the
correct length. A firm but gentle motion should be used when tapping the bump cap on the lawn. This
advancing process may be repeated as often as necessary. Never try to advance the line on a hard
surface such as a sidewalk or driveway. If unit fails to advance, stop the trimmer and remove the
battery pack, then clean the bump cap both inside and out.
