SYMBOL DESIGNATION/EXPLANATION Caution Read instruction manual. Keep bystanders away. Do not expose to rain. Wear eye protection. Do not use the tool if any parts are damaged or defective. Have any damaged or defective parts repaired or replaced by a qualified personnel.

OPERATION Switching On and Off (See Fig. 6) ■ Slide the fully charged battery into the battery chamber underneath the handle. ■ Engage and hold the lock-off safety switch. Activate the on/off trigger to operate, once started release the lock-off safety switch (Fig. 6). ■... - Page 16 OPERATION Plant protector (See Fig. 10) WARNING Only adjust the plant protector position when the product is switched off and the cutting device is at a complete stop. - Page 17 Battery Pack Operation ■ Battery Charging ® • Use only with 60V Lawnmaster 60LFC03 battery charger. The battery charger supplied is specifically designed for the lithium-ion battery used in this garden appliance and may cause risk of fire if used with a non-compatible battery pack.

MAINTENANCE General Maintenance ■ Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust. Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use. Use clean, dry cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc. - Page 20 MAINTENANCE ■ Remove the empty spool and clean out any debris or grass residue from the spool cover. ■ Align the cutaway sections in the replacement spool opposite the eyelets in the holder and thread the line through. Ensure the spool is securely fitted and replace the cover (Fig. 17). CAUTION After changing the spool, run the trimmer under no load for at least a minute to verify the line and the tool are both operating correctly.
