OPERATION
SAFETY GUARD
■ The safety guard protects the operator against thrown objects during operation.
■ The safety guard is equipped with a trimmer line cut-off blade that cuts excess trimming line.
PIVOTING HEAD (See Figures 7-10)
■ To pivot the head, push the pivot button (10) and adjust to
any of the 7 positions as shown (A) (Fig. 7).
■ Adjust the angle of the trimmer head according to the
intended operation.
■ Adjust to desired position: adjust to 135° when trimming
grass on flat ground. Adjust to 90° or 180° when trimming
near edges and walls (Fig. 8-10).
EDGING (See Figures 11-13)
The rotating handle can be used in combination with the edging function for edging sidewalks and
walkways. To use the flower guard, flip down from its stored position.
■ Pull the tube outwards (step 1) and away from the motor as shown. With the tube and motor
separated, user can rotate handle 90° for easier edging (step 2).
■ Push the tube back toward motor head; motor head and tube will lock into place (step 3) (Fig. 11-
13).
